Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al- Maliki Tuesday declared highest alert in the country and called for emergency session for the parliament to declare state of emergency to confront the terrorist groups. Earlier in the day, insurgent groups took full control of Iraq s second largest city of Mosul, the capital of Nineveh province, and expanded to other areas after the Iraqi security forces withdrew from the city.
