Ireland Update It has been an excellent few weeks of ministry in Derry and Port Rush. While we did not see any come to Christ, we had a lot of great conversations with the Irish in both cities that seemed to change the way the Irish view Jesus Christ and Christianity. In Skerries, the ministry seems quite different. The church we are working with here is really struggling and part of our ministry here is to the people of the church. Our goal is to encourage them to continue persevering and seeking after the unbelievers in their community and we want to show them that all hope is not lost. We also shared Christ in the community in hopes of seeing more people follow Christ. Pray for this community of brothers and sisters in Christ. The students have been really challenged here because most of the ministry is street ministry. This type of ministry is tough to do because we basically walk up to people as they are about their day and try to engage them in conversations about life and God. It can be draining to the students. We also host a Bible Club for children ages 5-12 each day and try to encourage people through this. We will be hosting a free barbeque for anyone who wants to come on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. and we are inviting everyone we talk to. In the years past, we have a had a huge success with the barbeque with hundreds of people attending. The Royal Servants/Americans draw is huge and we have a good reputation in this community, This makes it easier to gain the trust of the local youth and even the parents. We are excited for what God has planned for us this week and we continually praying that He will guide us towards the people He wants us to have conversations with that we may be able to either plant or sow the seeds in their hearts so God can reap. We have but 4 more days here in Skerries and then we head out by ferry to London on Friday for debriefing. And then from London we fly back home on Wednesday, the 30th. Please, continue to pray for the team as we are starting the last week of our journey. The team has done really well working through their tiredness and I believe that God has given them strength to continue with ministry. Please pray that God will continue to give our team the strength to finish strong. Also, I would like to ask that you pray for the church here in Skerries as they are struggling with their ministry and church seems to be diminishing instead of growing. Thank you all for all the support and prayers, I know we say this every time, but it really means a lot to our team.
