At the meeting the City of El Paso along with HKS, Inc., the urban design firm unanimously selected by El Paso’s City Council will unveil the final conceptual drawings, site locations, uses and amenities for the Children’s Museum, Hispanic Cultural Center, and Multipurpose Cultural and Performing Arts Facility. The recommendations are the result of a year-long process of site visits, community engagement, and stakeholder outreach. On December 17, 2013, El Paso City Council unanimously approved a contract with HKS and a local consortium to achieve the following: Create detailed business plans to ensure each facility is financially viable; Determine the appropriate size and scope and each facility; Determine the appropriate sites for each facility, with an emphasis on creating synergy among existing facilities and leveraging existing infrastructure; and Identifying future opportunities for private sector investment. En la reunión, el Municipio del El Paso en conjunción con HKS, Inc., la empresa de planificación que fue seleccionada unánimemente por el Consejo Municipal de El Paso revelarán los esquemas de planificación *, las ubicaciones, los usos, y los servicios y comodidades para el Museo de Niños, el Centro Cultural Hispano y el Centro Cultural y de Artes Escénicas. Las recomendaciones que serán presentadas son el resultado de un proceso que duró un año e incluyó visitas a los sitios, participación comunitaria y alcance público con grupos y personas involucradas. El 17 diciembre del 2013 El Cabildo del Municipio unánimemente aprobó un contrato con HKS y un consocio local para lograr lo siguiente: Crear un planificación detallada para asegurar que cada instalación sea económicamente viable; Determinar el tamaño y alcance apropiado para cada instalación. Identificar oportunidades de inversión para el sector privado en el futuro próximo. Determinar los sitios apropiados para cada instalación destacando la creación de sinergia entre las instalaciones ya en existencia y aprovechando de la infraestructura ya en existencia.
