Irish Art month in Abu Dhabi Art Hub - final exhibition. Today I drove from special reason to Abu Dhabi. I wanted to see the original paintings of the artist Mohsen Kelany. Mohsen is born in Iran, but he lives since many years in Birmingham/UK. And was now as an individual artist in residence during the Irish Art month . When I saw the first photo of a work by Mohsen, only one description of his art came to my mind Modern Oriantalist . Mohsen awakened with a incredibly magnificent brushwork, this art form back to the canvas. For many years, this art form had shadowy existence . In museums hardly noticed, the Orientalists disappeared often in stores. Mohsen takes his inspiration for the masterpieces of modern orientalist from his roots in Iran. But even the word contemporary art is not foreign to him what impressively shows his here in UAE created Sculpture The Kiss of the Mosquito . Many of his works adorn the walls in Musseen and private collections in Europe. Im sure that works by Mohsen Kelany will rise in the price steadily.
