Iron Maiden, “Fear of the Dark” (2008 [1992]) Music & Lyrics: Steve Harris Vocals: Bruce Dickinson “Fear of the Dark” is a song written by Steve Harris, bass player and main songwriter for Iron Maiden, as the title track to Iron Maiden’s 1992 album “Fear of the Dark”. The single “Fear of the Dark (live)” is the 26th single released by the band. When the song is performed live, the audience always sings along to the melody during the soft (and sometimes the heavy) sections. It has been featured on all the bands live releases since its release. In this clip the song is performed in Buenos Aires, Argentina on March 7, 2008. The clip comes from “Iron Maiden: Flight 666”, a concert documentary film (directed by Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn) following the band on the first leg of their “Somewhere Back in Time World Tour” between February and March 2008.
