Ironically I chose a daily devotional plan called oxygen and now that is we desperately need. Kind of like back in June when Sydneys lung gave us fits for days in the PICU, we are facing similar challenges. Although surgery has left her with more space in the lung she is still struggling to inflate and get its full benefit. She is on the bipap machine and very dependent on it. It is awfully uncomfortable, and she is coughing a lot to try and expel the mucus from the breathing tube. Plus, the chest tube is causing a tickle which in turn causes her to cough. Because of the test she had done today she is forced to lay flat on her back for 10hrs to prevent problems. She is so very tired and it is breaking our hearts! Oxygen, please Lord, your child needs oxygen. The very thing that we all need, more than anything else in the world.
