Irony? All week I have been trying to help friends who were hit by an identity theif phishing and malware attack, that starts with a link about someones house burning down. Some victims cant even see the malware-ridden posts on their own FB wall. If you see something like that, for goodness sakes, dont click it. Its not just a FB hack, it will destroy your financial life. (I did digital forensics on it in a sandboxed environment and found the command and control server and code. It has been reported to the FBI. But they are slow, so still, dont click it!) However, my former roommate posted a link about my old house in the midwest burning down. That actually DID happen, so just in case you thought I got hacked too, I didnt. (Nobody was hurt there.) But just dont click on links about house fires this week anyway.
