Irony......in 1980, my husband purchased a 1980 GM Cutless Supreme which I drove. Several times, the engine would shut off whether I was driving locally or on the NJ Turnpike. I spent hours and hours complaining to GM headquarters. We had no recourse because we paid cash for the car. I kept telling workers at GM, would they want their mothers to drive my car? I literally shut down on the NJ turnpike! Now here is the irony..................................34 years later, GM is admitting to a defect in the electronic emission switch of GM vehicles! We dropped the car off at the GM parking lot and then 6 months later got a post card about a defect No wonder why we only purchase Mercedes now!
