Is. 40:2 - “Speak kindly to Jerusalem; and call out to her, that her warfare has ended, that her iniquity has been removed, that she has received of the Lord’s hand Double for all her sins.” Timing is everything and so, too, is believing ALL that the Law and the Prophets have spoken, and that especially applies to interpreting prophecy as God intended it to be interpreted. Many lovers of Israel are, and have been, preaching the essence of the preceding passage to Israel before the time and prior to the prophetic scenario, which must take place prior to this word being validated. And so, we do a disservice to God, the Church, and Israel by speaking such a word out of turn---a false comfort, making it a false word of peace and safety. We must take great care in realizing that speaking that which the Lord has not spoken does not only apply to the voracity of the words, but also if it contradicts the context and timing of that which the Lord has spoken in light of the weight of Scriptures. You get the purposes of God wrong? You get your eschatology wrong. You get your eschatology wrong? You get the purposes of God wrong. It is the very reason why Paul declared, For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.
