Is English Language Everything? Most people value and cherish English language and consider anyone,who can speak the language fluently as knowledgeable,wise and good. However,people dont really care about the massage content but the mere language.If the massage contain chain of lies,it didnt matter once the grammar is well constructed. Nigerias ruling party has condemned an opposition candidate as semi illiterate,simply because his English language is not as sweet as that of a university lecturer. I am not in defence of any politician, but the person in question is not as corrupt as those that can speak English like queen of England. I could remembered,during the last election Presidential debate ,the well English speaking candidate scale higher vote from the audience. There was also a member of Parliament that most Nigerian blindly respected and tagged him as one of the most educated member.Because he could speaks like William Shakespeare but was caught in a dirty financial mess. I really dont know when will our mentality going to change and set ourselves free from this chain of neo slavery. Yes is good to know the rules and regulations of everything but is absurd to judge people raputations by mere language.
