Is Global Warming A Hoax? November 17th, 2009: The climate Research Unit in Britain is hacked and thousands of private emails released. The emails suggest scientists are hiding and deleting data which disproves climate change. The anthropogenic global warming theory state that man-made pollution is causing world temperatures to rise. Skeptics like Rush Limbaugh and Donald Trump claim Climategate proves there is a conspiracy by the scientific community to perpetuate the myth of climate change in order to secure research funding from governments. November 22nd, 2011: More emails are leaked which indicate that the Inter-government Panel on Climate Change is covering up scientific data. However, scientists the world over publish data from hundreds of studies which prove global warming. The few scientists who dispute this data are found ti be funded by oil companies like ExxonMobil. Close study of Climategate emails reveals they dont expose a cover up of scientific data. World media simply reported phrases from the emails that were lifted out of context by climate change denying blogs. The email leaks coincided with international debates on climate policies. The identity of the hacker is unknown. There is overwhelming evidence to demonstrate that global warming is happening and that a significant proportion of it is man-made. In 2013, 16% of North Americans believed climate change was a hoax. Today, 23% believe it is a global conspiracy. 29% believe man is the primary cause of global warming. -X.A.N.A.
