I saw the movie, Gods Not Dead, last night and thought that it was awesome. Go see it. You wont be disappointed. We stopped at Wendys for a bite to eat before taking all the youth back to the church. While we were eating I was asked by a parent what it was like at the high school. Can you really see and feel the presence of God in a public high school? I think that she was asking, Is God dead at Davie High School? I just started my sixth year there and I know the answer. I will admit that there is evil there. Anywhere you gather 1700+ teenagers Satan will be at work. Thursday mornings we have a faculty Bible study and prayer time. Our numbers are few but we are faithful. Before we left one of the teachers shared this story. A young man who is a sophomore came into his classroom and asked if he could speak with him. He seemed troubled so he told him to come by after school and they would talk. After school he showed up and began asking questions about spiritual matters and God. He said that he wanted to know for sure that he would not go to hell. The teacher used the book of Romans to show him the way to know for sure. They prayed together and in that public high school classroom this young man gave his heart to Jesus Christ. Now he knows for sure his eternal destination and I confirmed what I already knew....Gods Not Dead.
