Is Gods church like Samson? Have we been lured to sleep, had our locks cuts but by harlot Babylon, and therefore lost our power? Have we kept to our Nazarite vows not to touch the dead, and to stay away from the wine of Babylon? If the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10), if we are to delight ourselves in the Lord (Psalms 37:4), then has the woman Babylon caused us to delight in her worldly delicacies instead (Revelation 18:3)? Are we so drunk that we can sleep while our power is being sheared from us? Will we wake up like the foolish virgins, like Samson, only to find that the power of God has departed from us? If to delight ourselves in the Lord is our strength, then it is also the only way to grow our locks back to regain our strength. And there is only one way to delight ourselves in the Lord! See Isaiah 58:14!!!! When Gods church grows its locks back, following Isaiah 58, the prescription for delighting oneself in the Lord, then we shall renew our strength (Isa.40:31) and like Samson, be empowered to finish the work by grabbing hold of the pillars of Babylon, and with a final push, bring it down!!!
