Is India Technologically advance as compared with rest of the world? Advance than rest 49%, At par 33%, Below par 18% The above are the poll results in a survey by a news channel few days back. Now the real question arises are we really advanced than most of the countries? Then comes the question what do we mean by technically advance? Now as far as my view goes for most people in India technically advance means having (not using) a smart phone, having a laptop, wearing a jeans and above all not to use them productively. That why we think we are technologically advanced. After Almost 65 yrs of independence we don’t have a centralized data systems, nor we can build a 1 Km road without potholes. Here projects gets delayed by many years, not due to lack of funds but do to many other reasons. Each time we have to submit a hard copy of our identity and other documents, even in government offices, No reliable security measures @ public places, then how can you say we are technologically advance. The fact is that when knowledge is put to productivity and progress it becomes a technology and when its implement with efficiency and profit, it will be known as advance technology. Otherwise it’s a mere DATA kept for no use or if else used only for null value. I wonder how many people using smart phones and laptop put it to a proper and productive use, Most of the time I find them as a status symbol of entertainments stuff. Wearing Jeans and T-shirts don’t make us modern, but our overall progress in all aspects of life make us modern. Just remember one thing. In ancient period scholars like Aryabhatta or Chanakya never use to imported clothes but these people were very technologically advance and overall the culture was. The only thing did by western countries was that the gathered all the data from us, worked on it, showed us what wonders it could do, and now there are selling that thing back to us and this trend will continue until we start working for ourselves.
