Is Lightning Source / Ingram just another corporate tool combo out to screw authors? When factoring in your indie-pub options, the linked Lightning Source tale is one to include. I wanted to get input from other Lightning Source customers to see if theres a trend here or simply bad juju for Kevin. Ive heard mixed reviews about the platform, and with Ingram involved, my Spidey-sense tingles even more. My problem, being a card-carrying conspiracy theorist and somewhat anti-establishment, is that I go into any discussion about major players of the publishing industry with some warranted and some unfair preconceptions. This places Ingram at a disadvantage in my evaluations, but Id like to get the gamut so that I can make a more reasonable estimation. So, to all my indie friends and acquaintences, would you hit the Like button for Lightning Source / Ingram? or Unfriend?
