Is PPG operations still banned from Stanwell top launch? >>>>>>> PPG Operations at Bald Hill Wednesday, 1 May 2013, 5:17:45 AM | ffrenchpj@yahoo (Peter Ffrench)Go to full article This is a copy of an email memo received from the Operations Manager of the HGFA earlier this week. >>>>> Stanwell Operations are enabled by exemption, given by myself (not CASA Instrument as used to be), for operations to take place within what is normally too close a proximity to a road. I never envisaged that power operations would occur at bald Hill; I am uncomfortable that such operations are taking place as I believe they constitute an unacceptable risk to the public because of that close proximity to the road; besides I see them as a potential grave risk to continued use of the site. Add this amendment to the Exemption I previously granted to enable Stanwell to operate. I formally advise that: Powered Operations are prohibited at the Bald Hill site known as the Stanwell Park site and fall outside the exemption that enables operations in close proximity to a road. John Twomey Operations Manager HGFA >>>>> This topic will be a subject of discussion at the next committee meeting on May 30th 2013 but in the interim, pilots are urged to abide by this ruling to ensure that they do not jeopardize their insurance coverage by the HGFA. Thanks, Peter Ffrench
