Is Senator Lee’s letter to defund Obamacare for real? It reminds me of Uncle Remus’ Br’er Rabbit that wanted to be thrown into the briar patch. Right there in the letter, Senator Lee says that if Obama and his administration will not enforce Obamacare as adopted in the law, then it should be defunded. So, the letter matter-of-factly tells Obama to enforce Obamacare. All people who sign his letter are saying enforce Obamacare as legislated. The alternative would be to defund it. But it gives Obama an “out” to enforce it. People who believe they are supporting non-funding of Obamacare are being “taken”, if they blindly sign up on Senator Lee’s website. Go to lee.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/dont-fund-it#form_f2a4df46-8e89-4a1e-aad3-5d5fb8979657 to read the letter. I advise that you do not sign onto it, unless you support Obamacare. If people do not want Obamacare funded, they should write their U.S. Senators and Congressman for their districts -- and others if so moved. These folks should make it clear that 1) they do NOT want Obamacare funded, 2) they want Obamacare repealed, and 3) these are the only two alternatives.
