Is There a Bad Time of Year to Drink Port Wines? Having developed groups on both LinkedIn and Facebook it amazes me that most of the Port drinkers who join seem to be from Portugal, or else northern European countries or northern states in the US. I love to drink Port wine all year around...but in the warmer months I will drink more whites (alone and in cocktails), and pink Port wine. But I also continue to drink Tawny and Ruby Port wines. Especially on a summers evening sipping a Tawny (chilled to the proper temperature) is very enjoyable. Why does it seem that people who live in warmer climates not love Port? Why are they not joining the rest of us Port Wine Lovers?
