Is This The Real Reason Kitchen Nightmares Is Over? I dont think a show about a last-ditch effort to save failing restaurants can be blamed for most of those restaurants eventual failure. I did notice that the last couple of seasons featured places that werent gigantic amounts in debt the way the earlier seasons were; a restaurant that lets itself get half a million into debt before it calls a celebrity chef for a makeover isnt taking care of its shit soon enough to make a dent. And frankly, a lot of those people werent going to change or went back to their bad habits the second the camera van left. Face it, Ramsay doesnt need my defense, but if 100% of the restaurants he filmed were failing when he walked in the door, and he saved 40% of them, that isnt a 60% failure rate. If you see 10 drowning puppies and you can only rescue 4 puppies in time before they go under, you didnt kill 6 drowning puppies. You saved 4.
