Is Wyoming ready for this?! Here is the new and very much improved Riverton, Wyoming skatepark design to be built in City Park next to the existing playground and tennis courts. (the brown area in the 3D graphic is the playground footprint. Federal Blv. not included in this graphic) The CWSA is under contract with Mark Scott and Dreamland Skateparks of Lincoln City, Oregon to start construction as soon as the ground thaws! (June 15th, 2015 is the date) Even though the CWSA was in charge of the design of the park, and are the primary fund raising team... this concrete skatepark will be free to use, and owned and maintained by the City of Riverton as a public facility. (like the existing abandoned public pool area is now, with help from the CWSA.) No membership fee, no restrictions, no staffing, no fence! As it is all concrete and stainless still, it will need virtually no maintenance, aside from trash clean up and graffiti prevention. Still a lot of money to raise, but we have plans and are still working hard! If we work hard enough in fundraising, we can build the whole park this summer, and not have to do it in phases.
