Is anyone able to help me with a little clarification? 15 + 6 - TopicsExpress

Is anyone able to help me with a little clarification? 15 + 6 (x-4) + 8x First, I answered it this way: = 21 (x-4) + 8x = 21x - 84 + 8x = 29x - 84 I realized this was wrong as I didnt apply the rules of BEDMAS. So I re-did it applying BEDMAS, and this is what I got: -9 + 14x This is much better, but still wrong because the signs are wrong. The correct answer is 14x - 9, and Im confused by this. 15 is the first number of the expression, so its my instinct to just start my answer with that, so I started with -9, and I just thought to put in a + because 6x and 8x are both positive (i.e. 15 + 6x - 24 + 8x). Any help with this? Thank you in advance. :)
