Is anyone aware of a specific Linux *version* (not distro, but a specific version of a specific distro) that will be supported for more than 5 years? I keep hearing from people pissed at Microsoft for ending XP support and threatening to move to Linux. Move to Linux if you want to move to Linux, but dont youll be fixing the problem you think you are. In fact I think itll be worse. (5 years is the longest Im aware of - half of the support window for most Windows versions.) Anyway, honest question. Id love to be able to point people to a distro version that will meet their expectations.
