Is anyone else tired of the media blowing EVERYTHING out of proportion? Causing conspiracy theorists to run crazy and spread further fear and panic in an already scary world? Oh, and NOT spending enough time covering the important things factually---simply because without the fear and panic factor muddled in with the facts, THE MEDIA OUTLETS dont get viewers---ratings---money---power...I dont know...maybe Im just tired of seeing headlines that manipulate the reader to click on an article...like (a not to outlandish example) The world will end tomorrow...of course, you have to read the entire article just to find that its simply some nutball in Idaho who thinks its going to because of a vision and hes prepared to tell us all about it. Manipulation By Headline---a new song I wrote tells the ugly story of how I think the media is causing fear and panic---not necessarily because of the news they report, but the way in which they do it. I may or not share it...i havent decided. Ok....im jumping off my high horse now...luckily, its not a far fall.
