Is anyone else tried of hearing the line we should be proud of the country we have built over the last 300 years. I am pretty sure for the most of those 300 years Imperial Britain was carving up Africa, the Middle East and Asia for their own interests. Many countries in the world are still at war as a direct result of those lines being drawn. All this in the name of progress? I feel that the wool has be pulled over our eyes and we are now expected to feel some weird sense of pride for one of the most ugly Empires the world has ever seen. I for one would like to detach myself from the politics that bring a world to war. I am not proud of Britain.
