Is anyone else wondering where the heck summer went? The Crawford County Fair is in progress now and almost over. Students are getting ready to go back to school, eager to show off new clothes and reconnect with friends. Labor day is almost upon us. Rounding everything out is the crisp, memory invoking smells of pre-autumn and cool nights. For us its bittersweet. Fresh harvests are coming in, allowing us to give you the very best that natures bounty has to offer but knowing that our valued and much loved out-of-town customers will soon be locking up their cottages and going home. Maybe well have an extended summer season and theyll stay for a little longer! Or maybe, hehe ;) , we can entice them (and our equally loved local customers) with some of our features! Last weeks menu boasted OssoBuco, Grape leaves stuffed with beef, fontinella, dates and rice accented with a sweet red wine reduction, and Chef Antonios Gnocchi Caprese... homemade gnocchi tossed with fresh tomatoes, olives, mozzarella, fresh parsley and finished with our Binyet Verdi. And lets not forget fresh caught Sardines grilled and placed on top of sauteed tomatoes, onions and olives! Now that summers coming to a close, what are you looking forward to??
