Is fitness pain free? well yes and no, ok the picture is of a well experienced Olympic weight lifter who looks as if hes had better days, but im using this picture as an example, these days when people want to get in shape or want to learn something new in the least amount of time, theyll head right on over to youtube ehow and a bunch of other free sites, and these sites have a wealth of information, dont get me wrong, ive done it myself a lot, but sometimes things go wrong. an example would be if you watched a 3 minute video of how to increase your bench press and got fired up to go do some benchin in your home gym with more weight than you can handle and get trapped under the bar with no one to come to your rescue. or watched a video on mobility that a pro athlete or martial artist posted, only to try it and strain a muscle or tear your rotator cuff, and have you much worse off then when you started. you see every one is different, the guy or girl in the video might not have a postural deformity e.g. lordosis, kyphosis, forward head posture or scoliosis, but you might. or you could have muscle imbalances, old injuries, new injuries or any number of things wrong, just think before you try anything off of these sites. because things can go wrong. why not ask someone thats in the fitness field before you go try a new exercise technique? a postural analysis can tell a lot about what exercises and mobility drills are suited to a persons body type. all included in my training sessions. if you need help or have questions on something, let me know. and ill do my best to help you.
