Is it just me-- or does anyone else think there are too many vehicle with flashing lights these days in Huntington Beach?? I remember when only police fire and ambulance had flashing lights . We respected those, and we knew they were on their way to something important. In the last two years I have not been on the road once without some unnecessary flashing lights causing a dangerous distraction & road hazard usually near an intersection thats already hard to navigate as it is. They stop on the side of the road and just Blind us with those horrible unnecessary NON EMERGENCY lights. We are all distracted drivers as a result of those lights!! Seriously who in their right mind thinks a trash truck or street sweeper or landscaper needs piercing distracting lights that spasm in our eyes Causing us to have to close them or look away while we are trying to navigate around their truck in the way?? When did last weeks trash become just as important as an ambulance racing to save someones child from drowning or a heart attack victim??? I think we need to rethink allowing just anybody to distract drivers and make conditions worse on our streets
