Is it just me or does Christmas seem to come earlier and earlier each year (not literally of course).. As a child Thanksgiving was a huge holiday (still is to me). It was celebrated pretty much as heavily as Christmas. Now its like as soon as Halloween is over, BAM... Christmas is everywhere you look.... Where is Thanksgiving in the midst of it all?? Long lost and forgotten....trees going up earlier and earlier; ppl hustling and bustling over gifts earlier and earlier... Worrying about this and that... Sometimes I think we should just slow down and enjoy this time.... Thanksgiving. Do NOT get me wrong... Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. It means so much to me... It isnt even celebrated for the meaning by so many anymore.. (We will get into that story another day...). Anyway, my prayer is that Thanksgiving time will not be forgotten and taken for granted. We should be thankful mostly for what we already have and especially things that cant be bought... And just stop for this simple holiday and not worry about the hustle and bustle of the holiday to come!! (P.s. I DO NOT do Black Friday for several reasons) Wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving Season! Enjoy time with your families!!! Thats the best time!!
