Is it just me, or is everyone getting these political poll calls? Im getting three or four a day. The worst part is that Im coming to realize from the structure that they are only thinly disguised advertising. When they ask you who do you plan to vote for?, then ask a list of questions if I told you this, would that make you more likely to vote for x or y? (fill in the propaganda), then ask now, after hearing this, who do you plan to vote for? Clearly, the propaganda was meant to change your mind, and worse, Im not sure that when they phrase it like that (IF I told you X...) that they are required to stick to the facts. Sounds like powerful and possibly deceptive advertising. They arent stupid enough to say if I told you Obama is a baby-eating necromancer..., but they are calling individual voters, and planting these suggestions, then covering themselves by admitting that its paid for by (usually) some patriotic sounding group name (cover for some candidate or party). I wonder if I should bother taking any more of them. I expect most dont, but I do like real polls, just not these fakes. I suspect that accepting one call makes me more likely to get others.
