Is it just our school district or does every middle school segregate each grade. When I was in junior high school I had classes with 7.8.9 graders, lunch was a mixture of all grades. At P-nuts school there are no mixed grade classes, lunches are by grades. There is something to be gained academically, socially and emotionally from developing and establishing relationships with the entire age ranges at that level. Some of my most meaningful and deep friendships were made with younger folks I met in a class we shared or even at lunch. I guess its just another example of the nannification of our youth. Very sad.
