Is it not sadly telling that the president’s latest declaration - TopicsExpress

Is it not sadly telling that the president’s latest declaration of intent to soon begin yet another Mideast war, this one in Syria, was greeted by ho-hummed indifference throughout the land? One can’t help but wonder why a good number of Americans aren’t asking the Nobel Wonder how his air war non-wars throughout the Mideast have worked out thus far? To dissent from the arguably insane and empirically proven tactical illogic and inefficacy of attempting to defeat terrorism by bombing it into submission is not concomitant to denying ISIS is comprised of a nasty bunch of brutes. How many new terrorist and/or so-called terrorist resistance (to U.S. aggression) groups must we cultivate through our militarism before some president figures out that collateral damage does not American friends make? Has the absurdly illusory dovish image of Mr. Obama, unconstitutional usurper of separated government powers and wager of endless war in the name of peace, rung the permanent death knell of the American peace movement? Has the cancerous concept of American Exceptionalism rendered mute the voice of intelligent protest? I welcome any and all constructive commentary on these matters. For those who wish to consider views other than those brought to you by the military industrial complex and the presidents it owns, here are some thoughtful voices in opposition to the futile practice of war waged in the pursuit of peace: popularresistance.org/why-we-oppose-the-war-on-isis/
