Is it not sickening that up to now people think bashing and blackmailing the North and Northerners will secure the Presidency for them despite outright display of incompetence and neglect of the country and its citizens? Leadership of this nation must not be commandeered by blackmail by any particular section of the country or to anybody, not the North, the South, South East, South West, Far North, Middle belt or whatever section you will want to call it. The country is ours, political correctness or not, it does not matter. We are all in it together. If the South South has a better replacement for Goodluck Jonathan why not present such a person rather than use the excuse of North wanting power to return? Is Ameachi not from there? Is Roachas Okorocha not there? Present them if you want and dont blame others for your failure. Must PDP be the only party? Have we all not suffered misrule under this so called party? The nation keeps moving backwards and you want to blackmail other regions not to point that out? Blatant lies and propaganda are what we hear daily to cover up inefficiencies. A nation like this must move forward economically., but lies make us suffer even more in silence. If the nation has economically advanced, then let us all feel it in our pockets in terms of improved earnings not loss of jobs and income daily while a few fatten themselves at the expense of the majority. Nigerian government announced that it had created 1m jobs. We all asked where? No one answered!! Nigerian Government said the excess revenue from subsidy withdrawal will be channeled towards building roads and infrastructure? Of the nations 26,000km road network, how many kilometers have been constructed since that withdrawal? Of the money expended on electricity generation, there has yet to be any improvement. Congo is almost getting set to export electricity to as far as Nigeria which it built in less than 6yrs. How can that happen despite our resources? With the $20b missing money that is yet to be evidently traced till today, only for the govt to say no money is missing and later accepted that $10b remains unaccounted for, this money would have built one standard hospital in each of the 774 local Govt in Nigeria and 2 each if we considered that it is $20b missing. $20b would have build 20,000km road network nation wide in less than a year. It would have created the much wanted jobs instead of the lies concocted. Now we have a govt that is borrowing $1b to fight insurgency despite expending NGN4trn on defense in the last 4yrs. All these happened within 6yrs. Divide NGN4trn by 165 to determine the value in USD. Do the maths. This country with its resources human and material has no business being poor. We are not even among the top 10 African countries with the highest per capita income, but we went to rebase our economy to show we are big. Our size should be determined by the size of the pockets of our citizens not some cacophonous statistics that is confined to less than half a million people who rule our world and determine our future through clique and cult. It is not about the North sir, it is about Nigeria. If a Northerner gets to that seat he will not be voted by Northerners alone, no single region has the strength of numbers to make it up there. It is collective responsibility. And I assure you if the South can do it, the North has no issue after all it knows power was leaving when it chose to get Obasanjo out of prison to rule. The North knew power will go to the South when it accepted to adopt a rotational system of Presidency. The North knows fully well that it has many key positions in the various Governments within the last 14yrs not only in President Jonathans administration yet it supported the South to lead. The North knows that with its strength in both houses of legislature it can change the rhythm of politics yet they were liberal enough to work against each other so the South-South man can lead this nation. If the North is the problem the nation would have imploded a long time ago. The problem is the corruption going on in this government carried out by all those Northerners, and Southerners under the watch of the President who circumstantially happen to come from the South. And that is why many from the South want a change, it is no longer about region but about the nation. We must allow for nationhood to be achieved. NO MORE BLACKMAIL!!!
