Is it possible that Pakistan could produce a person who can be what Gandhi was to India, what Pope Francis is to many people around the world even today? Someone to inspire change in peoples inner lives according to the principles of preservation of love, life and humanity? Is it not this that the country finds itself completely bankrupt from? Outrage is no accomplishment. Is it not a deep awareness of this bankruptcy that makes the recent attack in Peshawar hurt so much more than ones prior to it? The awareness that something has failed in the core itself where a nations heart ought to be. Violence begets more violence. It may temporarily change the location where innocents will die, may manifest this or that revision to strategy, but it is no foundation on which a nation could stand.
