Is it possible to love without ever really knowing someone? Joy Lynn Locklear...... Is it possible to love without eve really knowing someone? I tell you dear friends, it is….and that love has the capacity to extend beyond what makes sense and understanding. I received something today. Something that I’ve often thought would be nice to have, but honestly, never…ever, thought it was anything that would ever come to pass. I had thought about the idea of it for many years and had even allowed myself to fantasize about what my reaction would have been if ever it did take place. But…..and I do mean BUT…... even my wildest imagination didn’t prepare me for what actually took place. Because of the personal nature of this issue and others that are involved, I am not at liberty to discuss any specific details, at this time, but I would like to share that I now possess something that means more to me than almost any other item I own. I am so very very happy. I will tell you for a certainty……..as time goes ever so swiftly by….. as the gray in my hair continues to multiply and as the wrinkles are certain to make their permanent appearance, I continue to learn lessons that still shake the very foundations of my soul………and one of those lessons is this: love is love…..and sometimes you simply can’t define it. You just know…that you know…that it’s there and is as overwhelmingly real as any other love. Love isn’t limited to the finite space that surrounds you. It isn’t limited to family and friends who are close by. It isn’t limited to only those that you can say you know………because I can without a shadow of ANY doubt tell you this……for all of my life, I have been in love with someone that I never really knew. That love grew by leaps and bounds today, even though I haven’t seen this person for many years and will never see him again. I don’t care……love is love. "Joy to all....."
