Is it rude of me to finally start saying Ive had enough? I love that Ive helped people learn about horses this year but when Im being nice & keeping their horses at my farm, for free, for almost 5 months, Im getting to the point that Im done. They expect me to feed, water, train, & doctor them if they get a cut or etc. I understand that some days its impossible to get somewhere, & Ill be more than happy to feed, water, & etc. Theres a huge difference in not being able to, & just being lazy! Like yesterday, they told me they had went & picked up a young horse, & needed a place to keep it until Saturday. I said okay just until Saturday though.. turns out hes a 4 year old untouched Spotted Saddle Horse stud, another STUD to go with the two older, dominant studs we already have. So now hes in one of my stalls, its mid-day, he was brought here at 4 p.m yesterday, & have they been down here to feed/water or give him hay? Nope. Guess who had to do that? Yup, me. Im done being a nice person & being stepped all over, from now on, if they want to get big in the business, it will be at their farm, or they pay $50 per horse(being reasonable since they do half ass help with grain, & they have 4 here) per month & more if they want me to work with the horses. They want my help in calming the stud because I did such a good job with Diablo & Red. They just dont seem to understand that dealing with a horse like that, for a while, needs to be a one person thing. Diablo is stuck with me, I can do basically anything I need or want to do with him, but if my boyfriend or friends try to even pet him, hes jittery & jumpy, but is slowly getting better. Not to mention that we went, paid for a filly for them, hauled her, & have kept her here for 2 weeks, & have yet to be paid in full. Okay, rant over.. -Smokey.
