Is it too late for me to just cancel Christmas? I have struggled for weeks trying to get in the spirit. Today I was determined to get into the swing of things even if I had to force it. I had to make a few errands earlier, so I put on my new Christmas shirt, My reindeer antlers and my jingle bell necklace, got a few strange looks, but also a lot of smiles. Came home and due to the lack of sleep lately, I really needed to lay down, feel really bad. But no... I decided today was the day, The tree must go up.... or not, I opened the storage container around Thanksgiving (when I normally put the tree up) and all was fine, not any more. The container had since broken and 30+ years of decorations were soaking in water. Some things are salvagable, some are destroyed. I am beyond sad.
