Is it unfortunate that Sturridge is injured again? Of course it is but what it has again exposed is the lack of quality in our squad that our only hope of pulling back an awful start to the season lies with a very injury prone striker. Rodgers retains my full support as I think he is the right man for the job but that should not make him immune to criticism. The problem isnt Sturridge being injured again. The problem is Rodgers must have known he is injury prone and is at fault for not signing adequate quality cover. We lost Suarez and knew we couldnt rely on Sturridge for a full season and Rodgers answer was to sign a risky Balotelli and a pub player in Lambert. As I said he retains my full support and I am willing to write off this season already but our manager faces a huge January and summer transfer window because by and large his signings have been poor!
