Game fish such as blue marlin, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, dorado and barracuda are caught year-round. The fish run close to the coastline, with good catches as close as a quarter mile offshore. Some of the best spots for fishing include Salt Creek by the Yacht Club on Grand Cayman and Owen Island off of Little Cayman. Grand Cayman has a small fleet of modern, well-equipped sportfishing boats available for charter. Smaller charter boats and local captains are also available on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.
