Is really excited for this: 98.3 miles rafting down The Middle Fork of the Salmon River, flowing through the heart of the 2.3 million-acre Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness Area on the north side of the Sawtooth mtns in south-central Idaho. It is THE largest designated wilderness area in the contiguous 48 states. The Salmon River Canyon is one if the deepest in N America, deeper even than the Grand Canyon. The water typically runs almost crystal clear and the rapids are often exhilarating. Oh, and wildlife sightings are common. NBD
