Is solar power really a feasible alternative in Jamaica? How much - TopicsExpress

Is solar power really a feasible alternative in Jamaica? How much power do you use per month? Electrical power is typically measured in watts, for example you can purchase a bulb that uses 100 watts. If you use that bulb for 8 hours every evening for the thirty days in the month, then that bulb would have used (100 watts x 8 hours x 30 days = 24,000 watt hours in 30 days). Since 1000 watts = 1 kilowatt, it would be equivalent to 24 kilowatt hours or 24KWH. Therefore, on each user’s bill is the total power consumption of all electrical equipments used e.g. 250 KWH for a typical Jamaican household. Therefore the system you purchase should be able to produce this amount of power each month..... #Obsessed #CountingWatts #FuturePlans #iDreamReallyBig
