Is the Grand Jury System Broken? The entire Criminal Justice System is broken in Texas. Many Judges think that they are prosecutors and are only concerned with re-election. Many Prosecutors hide and tamper with evidence just so that they can win, regardless if the person was guilty. Many police officers do not disclose all the evidence to the prosecutors, or lie on the witness stand because they want the people they arrested convicted. Finally many defense lawyers are too lazy to actually defend their clients and hold the government to their burden. Hell yes, the system is broken. The jails are full of innocent people but the politicians refuse to do anything because that would not be, being tough on crime.
