Is the membership of the PNM so bankrupt (morally, intellectually, and who knows, even financially??) that the party leadership has to resort to a plethora of people who up to VERY RECENTLY were active participants in UNC and COP campaigns?? Is the long-standing PNM membership good enough only to crowd rallies, wave balisier flowers, call in on the radio, jump up and down shouting great is the PNM, and then go and vote?? Why does the PNM leadership not understand that these people whose loyalty has not stood the test of time will be the first ones to cause trouble and cross the floor?? We saw what happened with Griffith and Lasse....we saw what happened with Kuei Tung and Huggins. We saw what happened with Ralph Maraj and Occah Seepaul - even Ish and Steve who are so roundly denounced today - they too were linked to the PNM at one time too. Dr.Rowley was right there front and centre for all of these notable defections in the first Manning administration....so why on earth is he presiding over a situation that is taking us right back to that place?!?!
