Is the moon full? Its been a strange couple of days. So far this - TopicsExpress

Is the moon full? Its been a strange couple of days. So far this week, Ive had one book described as truly horrid and one heroine described as a fictional idiot. And thats small potatoes, compared to what happened today. My husband went to a certain unnamed store to buy wood pellets. He paid for them and was directed out back by the woman at the cash register. Because she wasnt familiar with the job she was doing and gave him the wrong paperwork, the first words the attitudinal douchebag out back said to him were, How do I know you didnt already pick these up? Um, perhaps because the receipt shows he bought them five minutes ago, and perhaps because the woman CALLED YOU and said she was sending a customer out back to pick up two tons of pellets, and perhaps because, hey, moron, did you see two entire pallets of wood pellets disappear out from under your nose in the last five minutes? Who greets a customer, who just spent $400+ in their store, by accusing him of being a thief? This jerk continued to be rotten to hubby (and sent him back, not once, but TWICE to get the paperwork straightened out), and every time the woman out front screwed up the paperwork yet again, it was my husband that this guy screamed at. What is wrong with people? Boy, oh boy, if Id been with him, there would have been some bloodletting, and it wouldnt have been mine! My husband has worked in retail for forty years, and if hed ever treated a customer that way (not that he ever would have), he would have been fired on the spot. Ive said this before, and Ill say it again. The more I have to deal with people, the more I like my dogs. Present company excluded, of course. Hubby is too nice, even to idiots. I, however, am a Scorpio. We dont just get mad, we get even. And we never forget. Im putting together my voodoo doll, even as we speak. Deep breath. Rant over.
