Is the silence only because Israels brutality is a Muslim and Jew problem?? Since when did apartheid, killings and genocides, become problems of a particular community only? Let them deal with this. Why should we be worried? We hold intellectual talks, screenings, express our so called condolences about our past, but we are such cowards and so blindfolded by the comforts of our houses and secure lives for such an event unfolding in front of our eyes? Secure, as of now at least. After this, do you think communities, religions and countries, will trust, depend, and believe in each others sensitivity towards one another? I doubt it. And then, the gap will be very difficult to bridge, at least in my head. Please do not let people like me believe that others pain is not your pain, and hence, my pain will not be your pain. I am shocked by the insensitivity of a major chunk of people I know. I will not start hating you for this, I would not even stop loving you, since my parents taught me to be sensitive and understanding, even towards the biggest of evil. But, yes, I will not look at you for sensitivity or help, in times like these, that i pray never befall upon you or me. Its a big blow to my view on humanity.
