Is there anyone out there that owns garages please can you comment. I have an issue regards to my dad being ripped off by this so called company who isnt VAT registered but is charging VAT 20% on repairs etc would like a private chat how much you would charge on parts and repairs, i have the list of what has been changed.. my dad is so gullible and gave this company £1,200 and said to my dad we will get you a car the car was 550 quid plus everything else they did to the car without my dad knowing got invoice and no VAT number on or anything i could of typed it out myself, and all prices dont add up either. total £1283. for a 2001 vauxhall zafira with 133,867 mileage on and he cant use it because its not taxed yet... they gargage wouldnt give my dad the V5C form until he paid all the total amount! i dont know if i can tell trading standards as my dad has to make the claim as its in his name etc but he wont do nothing keeps saying guys brilliant... the guy told my dad it has a new engine in all fishy to me or is this a genuine price? when my husband looked engine has rust and has been scratched off with a brush and leaking water from the wheels now... brake fluid?
