Is there anyone out there who doesnt eat doughnuts? The reason Im asking is that last night, I was in a fancy restaurant and someone who I know who works there made a cop-doughnut joke. Well, I guess my nerves were a little raw because the radios were down for three f---ing hours, so I pressed her on why a cop eating a doughnut is funnier than, lets say, a wedding planner eating a doughnut. Can someone tell me? Let me be perfectly clear, Im not offended by this course of humor, but I think its unearned. I eat fewer than eight doughnuts per shift and I know cops who are well below the half-dozen line--a benchmark previously believed to be unbreakable.
