Is there anyone who can give me some educated advice....please Hello... I hope this is ok. I am lost with my car. I have a 2000 Honda accord 5 speed vtech.. my check engine light is on and the code is P0405 EGR valve. I took it to a shop they charged $85 for a bottom end cleaning and said I need a top end ceaning to clean out the rest of the valve to fix it ($150 cost). It feels like im being ripped off... I cant afford to spend $150 on top end cleaning. And $200 for a new Egr valve. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.... thank u in advance...
