Is there much research going on to identify causes of idiopathic small fiber neuropathy? Its frustrating to have test after test and never find the root cause and concerning when the symptoms seem to be progressive. Anything hopeful on the horizon? To answer Naomis question, while there are researchers looking at idiopathic small fiber/small fiber neuropathy, we are still a ways off from finding the answers we all seek. Testing has improved, though, as has our understanding of this painful type of neuropathy.
