Is there really anyone who ACTUALLY likes watching the sun set? Like, the whole process? Do ya have that kind of time? Me? Yeah, I like the sunset...not the process of the sun setting, but the sunset. Its like, Hey, look! (Snap a picture with the camera phone), and thats it! But to like, search out a good spot to sit and then sit there for 30 minutes; an hour? How long? Anyone know how long it takes? And then say, Wow, that was beautiful. Ummmm, no. Now an eclipse, thats another story, but thats not an every night kinda thing, right? Thats rare and I like rare stuff. But watching the sun set is like watching traffic. Its a phenomenon, of course; just like its a phenomenon how traffic can slow down to a crawl in one spot for absolutely no reason whatsoever and then speed up an hour later, (or even that that many stupid people can co-exist in those machines all grouped together at the same time and not cause mass casualties) but am I gonna sit and watch traffic too? Ummmm, no. The sun will set today and Im sure itll set tomorrow; just like all the stupid people will slow down to 30 mph in the middle of I-15 for no apparent reason right about 5:00 pm today. Some things in life you can just learn to count on. Am I taking the sunset for granted? Maybe, but if it all comes to a screeching halt and doesnt happen again, I dont think well ever know it anyway.
