Is this group-think or what?!? But I also cant help but wonder how some of the black officers who dont agree with this but cant express it for fear of retribution and isolation must feel!?! Im also posting this with my friend Suzanne Išdidžiai Liberalus commentary because it captures my sentiments. I have no respect for police officers who pull an arrogant, contemptuous stunt like this. It wasnt de Blasio who created a dangerous atmosphere for cops, it has been the actions of the cops themselves and the Blue Wall of Silence that surrounds their actions toward innocent people. The mayor was attending the funeral and showing his respect for the family of the two officers killed. The officers who turned their backs on his eulogy were showing contempt for those families and the memories of the officers shot down. And why are they upset? For de Blasio saying the truth - that he and his wife had had conversations with his bi-racial son about being careful to avoid being racially targeted. Im disgusted with this display.
